Almost Home Pet Resort is Hiring a Kennel Technician Near Temple, TX
Almost Home Pet Resort is a Luxury Boarding, Daycare, and Training facility. We are located in Temple, Texas. We are currently hiring 2 part-time/full time Kennel Tech. You must be able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Must be ok to work in hot, cold, rainy and any winter weather.
This position supports the pet resort functions, assuring that every guest has a quality experience and receives quality care. Kennel tech ensure that food, water, medications and treats are given as required. In addition all guests areas are cleaned and sanitized daily. Kennel techs also ensure that animal guests have appropriate activities, exercise and potty breaks. You would also do playtimes, walks, baths and nail trims.
Applicant needs to be enthusiastic, able to multi-task kennel duties, work individually and in a group setting, follow directions, and ensure customers are delighted with their experience. A keen instinct for animal safety and a loving commitment for pets are required. It is essential you are able to regularly stand for extended periods of time, able to handle dogs of all sizes on a leash, and be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
You MUST have your own transportation.
Must be 18 years or older.
Shifts are roughly 7:30 am – 11:30 am and 2:00pm -6:00pm
Hourly pay depending upon experience and paid weekly.
If you have references from a previous kennel or vet clinic ; that would be a plus. We will train you for our specific needs and methods, but require familiarity with cats and dogs.
Again, holidays are MANDATORY. Do not apply if you cannot work the week of Spring Break, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the 2 weeks between Christmas and New Years.'
